As the core equipment for anti freezing and insulation of industrial pipelines and storage tanks,the installation and laying method of electric heat tracing directly affects the system efficiency and safety.According to the requirements of different scenarios,the mainstream installation methods can be divided into four categories:straight line tiling,spiral winding,wave winding,and multi loop partition control,each of which must strictly follow technical specifications.
Linear tiling:standardized selection of basic scenes
Linear tiling is suitable for small diameter pipelines or situations with low heat loss,such as civil building water supply and drainage pipelines.During installation,the electric heat tracing tape should be laid in parallel along the axial direction of the pipeline,using aluminum foil tape or heat-resistant pressure-sensitive tape to fix it,with a fixed spacing controlled at 30-50 centimeters.For pipelines below DN50,a single flat piece can meet the requirements;If thermal compensation needs to be enhanced,double symmetrical laying can be used,but overlapping should be avoided.The advantage of this method lies in its simple construction and low cost,but it should be noted that the fixed spacing at the pipe bends needs to be shortened to within 20 centimeters,and the number of tape winding loops should be increased to prevent loosening.
Spiral winding:ensuring thermal uniformity in large diameter scenarios
Spiral winding improves the uniformity of heat distribution through spiral winding,especially suitable for large diameter pipelines above DN100 or high viscosity medium transportation scenarios.The winding spacing needs to be determined based on heat loss calculation,usually 1.5-2 times the diameter of the pipeline.For example,when using spiral winding for DN200 pipelines,the winding spacing can be set to 30-40 centimeters.Aluminum tape should be used to fix along the spiral direction during installation,and a 0.5-1-meter margin should be reserved at flanges,valves,and other accessories to avoid breakage caused by thermal expansion and contraction.After adopting this method,the temperature fluctuation range of the bottom pipeline of a petrochemical enterprise's storage tank was reduced from±8℃to±2℃,effectively preventing the solidification of the medium.
Wave entanglement:an adaptive solution for complex scenes
The wave winding conforms to the surface of the pipeline through wavy curves,which is suitable for irregular pipelines or space constrained scenes.Before installation,it is necessary to calculate the required length of electric heat tracing strip per meter of pipeline and determine the wave curvature radius R.For example,a pipeline on an offshore platform is wrapped in waves due to spatial limitations.By setting a wave curve of R=15 centimeters,full coverage can be achieved in a limited space.This method requires the use of aluminum foil tape to stick and fix along the wave curve,and ensure that the amplitude uniformity error does not exceed 5%to avoid local overheating.
Multi loop partition control:intelligent management of large-scale systems
For large-scale systems such as storage tanks and long-distance pipelines,it is necessary to adopt a combination of multi circuit independent laying and intelligent control.For example,a 5000 cubic meter storage tank divides the tank into four temperature control zones,each equipped with an independent power circuit and temperature sensor,and achieves zone start stop through a DCS system.This method can reduce energy consumption while avoiding global failure caused by single loop faults.Attention should be paid during installation:the length of each circuit should not exceed the nominal value,and explosion-proof junction boxes and terminal sealing devices should be configured to ensure that the explosion-proof level meets the requirements.
Key construction specifications and safety points
Location selection:The electric heat tracing strip should be installed 45 degrees below the horizontal centerline of the pipeline longitudinal section,avoiding installation directly above to prevent water accumulation and corrosion.
Fixed spacing:The fixed spacing for straight sections is 50 centimeters,and for bends,it is shortened to 20 centimeters and the amount of tape used is increased.
Insulation protection:After installation,insulation resistance testing should be conducted,with a resistance value of≥20MΩ,and a waterproof insulation layer should be wrapped around it.
Taboo:Cross overlapping laying is strictly prohibited,and non explosion proof accessories are not allowed to be used in explosion-proof areas to avoid frequent start stop and system aging.
By scientifically selecting installation methods and strictly adhering to regulations,electric heat tracing systems can achieve efficient and safe operation.According to statistics from a certain chemical enterprise,the system failure rate decreased by 70%and energy consumption decreased by 15%after standardized installation,which verifies the importance of technical specifications.In the future,with the integration of intelligent temperature control technology and the Internet of Things,the installation of electric heat tracing will develop towards modularity and visualization,further improving management efficiency.
